I’m so excited to tell you all about this fun activity that I participated in! Megan over at Love, Megan Anne set up this Blogger Secret Santa, and you can head over to her post for a run down of every blogger who participated with the links to their reveals. I absolutely love putting together gifts, so I didn’t think I’d have more fun than putting together the gift that I sent off, but I absolutely love the gift I received!
My Secret Santa was Tami from The Inspiration Lady and when I opened my box, I was so excited from the first look!
I was immediately thrilled about this gift because I absolutely adore cute mugs, and I love my doggo so much! Check out my instagram to see way too many pictures of my doggo being cute.
I’ve had the biggest sweet tooth lately, so I was thrilled to see my favorite candy packed in here. Haribo Gummy Bears are my weakness, and these didn’t even make it past this initial photo.
This gift only got better as I continued to open it! She included this journal (in my favorite color, blush!) and I can’t wait to use it to write about my goals and progress in the new year.
She also included this perfectly festive card!
Tami wrote the sweetest note in the card and told me that she made two of the gifts herself!
Not only did she make me this adorable mug sweater, but she also made me this candle that smells so incredible! This candle was in the cutest Christmas mason jar, but unfortunately the jar cracked during transit. My solution was to put the candle in a glass vase with rocks from one of my favorite local beaches!
I don’t think there is anything sweeter than homemade gifts, and it actually makes me tear up thinking about the fact that Tami took the time to make these gifts for me!
I was so thrilled to wake up this morning and use my new mug in its sweater! My husband left for work before I woke up and my kiddo was with my momma, so it was just me and my doggo. I made my coffee and cuddled up with Hendrix and had a quiet morning. It was so nice to enjoy my Saturday morning coffee in a quiet home, with a mug sweater that was handmade for me! It just warms my heart every time I think about it.
This is the first year that my family and I have really kept in mind that Christmas isn’t all about the gifts. It’s so easy to get caught up in the idea that you have to buy a lot of things and give a lot of gifts, just because that’s the expectation of Christmas now. I love my gifts from Tami, and I loved putting together my Secret Santa gift that I sent, but this wasn’t all about the gifts. Megan put this together as to a way to connect more bloggers and to remind us that we have a community of other bloggers supporting each other. I love that this whole activity helped me to connect with other bloggers and to find new blogs that I didn’t know about before.
People say that this season is all about giving, and I couldn’t agree more. It’s about giving love, and quality time, and support to those that are important to you.
I hope you have the happiest and warmest holiday, and enjoy the start of the new year!
