My Current Beauty Must Haves

I mentioned in my last blog post that I made a “birthday” purchase at Sephora last month. What resulted (besides pure happiness) was me falling in love with my new beauty must have! I’ve spent so much time and money trying to find my favorite beauty products. Some things I’m still searching for, but finding a beauty product that I really LOVE is so exciting for me, so I have to share some of my favorites!

1. Foreo Luna Mini 2

This was my favorite birthday purchase I made! I generally have dry skin and I feel like my pores are always clogged. I’ve tried so many different washes and wipes and masks, but nothing ever seems to make a significant difference. I’ve been looking at the Clarisonic and the Luna for so long, but I’ve struggled to make a decision between the two. After going back and forth and weighing the pros and cons, I opted to get the Luna because it’s antimicrobial (I’m a little germ sensitive) and it’s cheaper in the long run because it doesn’t need replacement heads. My concern was that it wouldn’t clear my pores or exfoliate as well as the Clarisonic.

After comparing all of the different Luna options, I went with the Luna Mini 2. Foreo provides a nice chart so you can easily compare each one, which made it really easy to decide which one I wanted. This has been my favorite purchase in so long! I love how gentle it is on my skin, while still being SO effective. My skin literally looks like it’s glowing after I use my Luna, and I’ve gotten so many comments about it in the last couple of weeks. It also has a timer built in so you can make sure each quadrant of your face is getting a proper scrub. I like this feature because I personally tend to wash my face for too long, and the timer keeps me in check. I’m also glad I went with the Mini because I feel like it fits nicely in my hand, and it’s travel friendly. Overall, I recommend this to anyone who is looking for a way to step up their skin care game!

You can buy it on Amazon here!

2. tarte Deep Dive Cleansing Gel

I’ve tried so many daily face washes and (so far) nothing compares to this one. I love tarte in general because their products are vegan and cruelty free. Most face washes I’ve tried dry out my skin so badly, but this keeps my skin well hydrated. I also love how gentle this is, so I can use it morning and night. It does a great job of removing the nighttime oil that builds up on my skin, and the makeup that gets trapped in my pores after a long day.

Interested in trying this out? You can buy it at Sephora or you can enter my giveaway before November 17th to win a trial size (plus two other tarte minis!).

3. Smashbox Always Sharp Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner

This is my go to daily eyeliner! I wear pretty basic makeup on a day-to-day basis, but I do like my eyes to pop. This is my favorite eyeliner because it’s really bold, but it sharpens itself so it stays thin and minimal when applying. Most eyeliners apply too widely for me after the first couple of uses, and it’s such a pain to always have to sharpen them. This one also stays all day without smudging, which is a huge bonus! I work long hours and don’t like having to sneak away mid-day to fix smudges or reapply.

You can get this at Sephora on it’s own or buy the Smashbox Try It Kit and get a full size of the eyeliner and bonus minis of their bestsellers for just a couple of dollars more! You can also get the eyeliner on Amazon.

4. Nars Blush and Bronzer Duo

I love this duo in Orgasm and Laguna. Like I said, I have a basic daily makeup look, and both of these shades are perfect for that. The bronzer is sheer and gives the perfect light contour, while the blush has a light shimmer that makes my cheeks barely glow. Also, I love sparkles and glitter, and it makes me so happy that if I’m in the right light, my cheeks sparkle! The other great thing about this duo is that it’s totally buildable. If you want a more dramatic look, you can definitely achieve that. I used this duo for a big work event earlier this week and was super pleased with how easy it was to build up.

You can get the mini duo at Sephora.

5. Verb Ghost Oil

I love this hair product so much! My hair is thin and starts to look oily approximately three minutes after I wash it. I was SO nervous to try this because I’ve never had hair product that didn’t make my hair look even more oily than usual. The first time I used it, I made sure I had enough time to take a second shower afterwards just in case! I was shocked when I put it in my hair after my shower, blow dried, and my hair actually looked incredible. Now I use it after every shower. My hair looks freshly washed for a longer time, it’s incredibly soft, and it feels so much less damaged and dry. The bottle also lasts so long. I’ve been using it for six months and have barely made a dent in it. I’ve also taken my trial size on three trips and it still looks full.

You can get it at Sephora or get the full size and a travel size for a couple of dollars more.

I also ended up trying the Verb shampoo and conditioner and have been impressed with that also!

The number one makeup product that I can’t live without is mascara, but I’m still on the hunt for my favorite one. In my most recent Sephora purchase (see it below), I bought the Milk Makeup It’s All a Blur set. I’ve been impressed by what I’ve read about Milk Makeup and I’ve been wanting to give it a try, so this set seemed perfect. Most of all, I’m really looking forward to giving the mascara a try. It also has a sample of the Milk Makeup dry shampoo. I currently use the Living Proof dry shampoo (you can get a full size and trial size for the same price as just the full size) but I’m excited to see how the Milk Makeup compares!

I also can’t live without moisturizer because of how dry my skin gets. I’ve tried an endless amount of moisturizers, but still have not found my favorite. I’m currently using a sample size of the tarte Drink of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturizer. I do really like it, and I’ve considered getting the full size. I do find that I have some dry spots by the end of the night though, so it’s not quite as long-lasting as I had hoped. In my deluxe Play! box (see it below), I got a sample of the La Mer Creme de la Mer. Before I commit to a full size of anything, I’m going to see if it’s as incredible as everyone says it is!
